Our Founder

Dr. Timothy W. Goodly is Founder and President of the Goodly Consulting Group. His highly successful corporate career includes prominent assignments with Fortune 100 companies. After graduating from West Point and serving as an officer in the U.S. Army, he worked in various HR roles for Mobil Corporation and Pepsi-Cola Company across the country. Most recently, in his role as senior vice president of human resources for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.), he was the lead HR executive responsible for the development of human resources strategies and initiatives for several Turner divisions, most notably, CNN Worldwide. While at West Point, he earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He later earned a master of business administration at Tulane University and a doctorate in organizational development at Benedictine University. He is also a distinguished lecturer for Benedictine University, where he serves as an adjunct professor and is a frequent presenter on organizational development and human resources topics. He currently serves on the Editorial Board of the OD Practitioner and the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications Board. Additionally, he is a member of the worldwide organization, NeuroLeadership Institute.

Our Coaching

Grounded in social neuroscience, our approach to coaching is designed to enhance the quality of our clients’ thinking, thereby allowing them to unlock insights and solutions to their various workplace and personal challenges. We employ various professional and psychological assessments that are tailored to meet our clients’ individual needs and preferences. Our coaching engagements are goal-orientated, range from 4 to 12 months and include in-person, phone and Skype-based sessions.

Our consulting practice is focused on enhancing the overall health and effectiveness of our client systems by improving the quality and degree of key stakeholders’ decision-making, problem solving, collaboration skills and self-knowledge. We facilitate growth and learning with individual leaders, working teams and large groups. Our services and interventions cover nearly every area of HR management, leadership development and organizational effectiveness. Our current and past clients represent nearly all sectors of the workplace - government, education, non-profit and private organizations. Our approach consists of a variety of methodologies and assessments, uniquely packaged to meet the distinct needs of every client.
